Google Sign-In Disclosure
Last updated October 26, 2026
Draft: this document hasn't been reviewed by counsel yet and isn't in force. It describes how the service works today; the final version will replace it.
You can sign in to Underpass with your Google account. This page says exactly what that gives us, and what we do with it.
What we receive
We ask Google only for basic sign-in information, using the openid, email and profile scopes:
- Your email address, and whether Google has verified it.
- Your name and profile picture.
- A Google account identifier, so the same account signs in next time.
We don't ask for, and can't see, your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts or any other Google data.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account yours.
- To show your name and picture in your workspace, and to people in workspaces you join.
- To email you about your account, like sign-in codes and invites.
What we don't do
- We don't sell it, or use or share it for advertising.
- We don't use it to train AI models.
- We don't let people read it except to support you, keep the service secure, or meet the law.
Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
You can remove Underpass's access in your Google account's security settings, under third-party connections; you won't be able to sign in with Google until you connect again. To delete your account and the information we got from Google, use Delete account in your account settings, or write to privacy@getunderpass.com. Our Privacy Policy has the rest.
